Life in the UK Test 2027 · Effective date: 8 October 2026 · Last updated: 8 October 2026
Life in the UK Test 2027 (the app) is published by Emir KIZILIRMAK (md9.net), who is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Contact: destek@md9.net
The app is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with the Home Office, the UK government or The Stationery Office, and it does not send anything to them.
The app asks for notification permission only if you turn on the daily question, and on iOS it asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) for personalised ads. Both are optional; the app works the same if you say no.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. It may be included in your phone's own iCloud or Google backup if you have backups turned on. Settings › Reset progress or deleting the app removes it.
To keep questions up to date without an app update, the app downloads the question bank and a small settings file from our server,
brolly-api.md9.net, which runs on Cloudflare. These requests contain no account or advertising identifier. As with any internet request,
your IP address and basic request details (time, app version in the user agent) are processed by Cloudflare to deliver the files and protect the service
from abuse. We do not use them to identify you and we keep no separate logs of them.
Reminders are scheduled on your device by the app itself. No push token is created and nothing is sent to a server. You can turn them off in Settings › Question of the day or in your phone's notification settings.
If you have not bought Pro, the app shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner on browsing screens, one full-screen ad after a finished mock test, and optional ads you choose to watch to unlock extra mock tests or explanations.
Google acts as an independent controller for this data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple; we never see your payment details or Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to check whether Pro is active on your device and to restore it. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID created on your device, purchase and transaction details from Apple (product, price, date, country/storefront) and basic device information. It does not receive your name or email address. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Google, Cloudflare and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. They rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US / UK–US Data Privacy Framework. For KVKK purposes, transfers abroad take place under Article 9 of KVKK.
Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, ask for data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold no account or profile about you, most of your data is on your device and under your control. For requests about ads or purchases, you can also contact Google or RevenueCat directly. Email destek@md9.net and we will reply within one month.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), your local EU data protection authority, or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).
The app is designed for adults preparing for the Life in the UK test. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
