The app is free. Practice and review are unlimited. Free users get three mock tests a day and can unlock more by watching a short ad. Ads are shown as a banner on browsing screens and once after a finished mock test, never when the app opens and never during a test.
Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription) that removes all ads and unlocks unlimited mock tests. You can restore it on a new device from Settings › Pro › Restore purchase.
No account and no sign-up. Your answers, progress and test date stay on your iPhone. The app downloads question updates from our server, uses Google AdMob for ads and RevenueCat for the Pro purchase. There are no analytics or tracking SDKs beyond the ads. Full details are in the privacy policy.
No. The app is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Home Office, the UK government or The Stationery Office. Book your test and check the current rules on GOV.UK.
No. The real test questions are not published. The app's questions are our own, written to test the same facts as the official handbook Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents (3rd edition). We recommend reading the handbook as well.
The Home Office has said it plans to update the test. The app downloads new questions without an app update, so when a new handbook is published we can update the question bank quickly.
Progress is stored on your device only. It may be included in your iCloud device backup, so restoring a backup to a new iPhone usually brings it across.
Settings › Reset progress deletes your answers, review list, streak and mock test history on the device.
