Fuel Prices UK: Cheap Petrol · Effective date: 8 October 2026 · Last updated: 8 October 2026

Summary: No accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number. Your exact location stays on your phone: to show nearby prices the app only requests the map squares (about 17 miles across) around you from our server. Favourites and settings are stored on your device. If you create a price alert, a notification token and the alert are stored on our server until you delete them. The app uses Google AdMob for ads, Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports and RevenueCat for the optional Pro purchase.

1. Who we are

Fuel Prices UK: Cheap Petrol (the app) is published by Emir KIZILIRMAK (md9.net), who is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Contact: destek@md9.net

The app shows open data from the UK Government's Fuel Finder scheme. It is not affiliated with the UK Government or the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and does not send them anything about you.

3. Stored only on your device

More › Delete my data or deleting the app removes it.

4. Our server

Prices are served by our own server, fuelprices-api.md9.net, which runs on Cloudflare (data stored in Western Europe). Requests for prices contain no account or advertising identifier. As with any internet request, your IP address and basic request details are processed by Cloudflare to deliver the data and protect the service from abuse. We do not use them to identify you and we keep no separate logs of them.

5. Price alerts

If you create a price alert, the app asks for notification permission and stores on our server:

This is used only to send you the alert. It is kept until you delete the alert, use More › Delete my data, or the token stops working, in which case it is deleted automatically.

6. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives a crash report: device model, operating system and app version, the technical details of the crash and a random installation identifier. It contains no location, name or contact details. We use it only to fix bugs.

7. Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you have not bought Pro, the app shows ads from Google AdMob: banners, sometimes a full-screen ad when opening a station page, and an optional rewarded ad for an extra price alert.

Google acts as an independent controller for this data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.

8. Pro purchase (Apple and RevenueCat)

Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple (or Google Play on Android); we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether Pro is active and to restore it. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID created on your device, purchase details (product, price, date, storefront) and basic device information. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
