Montessori Daily · Effective date: October 11, 2026 · Last updated: October 11, 2026

Summary: The app has no accounts. Your child’s name (or nickname) and date of birth, the activities you complete, your favorites and your settings are stored only on your device; we never receive them. The app uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and remote settings, Google AdMob for family-safe ads (personalization depends on your choices; see section 7) and RevenueCat to unlock Premium. Usage statistics can be turned off in Settings › Privacy.

1. Who we are

Montessori Daily (the app) is published by Emir KIZILIRMAK (md9.net), who is the data controller under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. Contact: destek@md9.net

2. Who the app is for

The app is made for parents and other adults who care for children aged 1 to 7. It is meant to be used by an adult, not by a child on their own. The details you enter about your child stay on your device (see section 4).

3. Data we do not collect

The app asks for notification permission only when you turn on the daily reminder and, on iPhone, for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) for personalized ads. Both are optional; the app works the same if you say no.

4. Stored only on your device

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. If backups are turned on, it may be included in your phone’s own iCloud or Google backup. Removing a child (Settings › Children, tap the child, Remove child) deletes that child’s profile and activity history. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Activities, routines and guides are built into the app and work offline. The app does not use a server of ours.

5. Daily reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app itself. No push token is created and nothing is sent to a server. You can turn them off in Settings › Daily reminder or in your phone’s notification settings.

Firebase never receives your child’s name or date of birth. Google processes this data on our behalf as a processor. See Firebase privacy and security.

7. Ads (Google AdMob)

If you do not have Premium, the app shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner, ads between items in lists and, never in the first 7 days after you install the app, at most one full-screen ad a day when you leave an activity or a guide.

Google acts as an independent controller for this data. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

8. Premium purchases (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)

Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your card details, Apple ID or Google account. We use RevenueCat to check whether Premium is active and to restore it. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID created on your device, purchase and subscription details from the store (product, price, purchase and renewal dates, country) and basic device information. It does not receive your name or email address. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.

9. Legal bases

Our legitimate interests are understanding how the app is used, fixing bugs and offering the app free of charge with ads. You can object at any time; turning off Share anonymous usage data is enough. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

10. International transfers

Google and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. They rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For KVKK purposes, transfers abroad take place under Article 9 of KVKK.

11. How long data is kept

DataPeriod
Data on your deviceUntil you remove the child profile or delete the app
Firebase Analytics eventsAt most 14 months
Crashlytics crash reports90 days

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, ask for data portability and withdraw consent at any time (GDPR Articles 15–22, KVKK Article 11). Because there is no account, most of your data is on your device and under your control, and we cannot identify you by name. For ads or purchases you can also contact Google or RevenueCat directly. Email destek@md9.net and we will reply free of charge within 30 days.

You can complain to your local data protection authority, for example in the EU, to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or to Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).

13. Children

Montessori Daily is an app for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children, and children should not use it on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The name and date of birth you enter for your child are stored only on your device and are never sent to us, Google or RevenueCat. If you believe we have received personal data from a child, email destek@md9.net and we will delete it. You can limit purchases with Screen Time on iPhone and Family Link on Android.

14. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will also be shown in the app.
